Outline of a Resume Employment History and Education Section
As you continue completing your Outline,
the Resume Employment History and Education Sections will be the next parts to work on.
Your Employment History
Although much of the information in your Employment History Section will stay the same regardless of what position
you apply for, you will want to tailor the details of your employment to emphasize the particular skills and
experience each employer seeks for their particular job opening.
The Employment History Section is the place in your resume to provide targeted details about your
experience and accomplishments.
You will quantify what you accomplished in your previous/current employment.
Ask yourself the following questions:
1) How many people did I manage? How many units of product did I sell or produce?
2) What did I achieve over and above what the employer required?
3) What skills or experience did the job ad ask for that I can demonstrate here?
