  1. How would you describe yourself?
    Use this opportunity to describe yourself using the attributes, experiences, and skills the employer stated they were looking for in the job description.
  2. What specific goals have you established for your career?
    Be honest, but keep it simple and let them know you are flexible. Include things like gaining additional experience in your particular field, any additional training you are planning on doing, etc.
  3. Please describe your ideal job.
    Again be honest, keep it simple, and try to incorporate some of the details of the job you are interviewing for in your answer. You could focus on the particular size of the company, group dynamics, customer service, etc.
  4. Would you tell me what you know about our company?
    Do your homework on this one! Check out the company's website, talk to employees if you can, do a google search on the company name to read recent press releases. Do they have any new products? If so, you can comment on that.
  5. What has been your most rewarding accomplishment?
    Make a list of what you would like to say about one of your accomplishments. Try to be short, clear, and focused. Of course, relate it to the position you are interviewing for.
  6. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult person. How did you handle the situation?
    This question is asking how you deal with contention and stress. Again be honest and try to demonstrate your professionalism, maturity, and regard for the employer and customer in your answer.
  7. What qualifications do you have that will make you successful in this company?
    Here is yet another chance to convince the employer that you are the best candidate for the job. List qualifications that they are seeking and include those qualities you possess such as being persistant, being a team player, enjoying competition and hard work. State plainly, "I will do a great job for you if you hire me; I will work hard to exceed your expectations."
  8. What skills have you acquired from your work experience?
    Again, list skills you have that directly relate to the job.
  9. What personal weakness has caused you the greatest difficulty on the job?
    Focus on something you have worked to improve and how you tackled the challenge and overcame the difficulty. Depending on what you have improved, you might talk about how you set goals for the day, week and month so you don't procrastinate and miss deadlines.
  10. Can you describe your short and long-range goals?
    You should always have short term (this month) and long term (this year, and within 5 years) goals you are working on. Setting and reaching goals is very empowering. You can choose a few goals that you are really excited about working on. This could be anything including work goals, education goals, personal exercize goals, family goals, etc. It is good for the employer to know something about you and what gets you pumped!
